The Resort
Courchevel 1550, also known as Courchevel Village, is the quietest and most unassuming of Courchevel’s three high altitude stations. Despite being purpose built it combines alpine charm with modern convenience and offers rapid access to the skiing around Courchevel 1850 and Courchevel 1650 thanks to a highly efficient lift system.
With an extensive selection of chalets, apartments and hotels at more affordable prices than further up the mountain, Courchevel 1550 is an excellent choice for families and groups of friends looking for an accessible base from which to explore les 3 Vallées ski area. The resort also has a fine selection of restaurants and bars, and the après-ski and night time social scene is relaxed and unpretentious.

The Courchevel 1550 Ski Area
Courchevel 1550 offers direct access to the the world’s largest interlinked lift system and ski area. From the village, fast chairlifts gondolas connect into the wider Courchevel area and onward to the other resorts in les 3 Vallées, opening up hundreds of kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes.
The local slopes above 1550 are particularly well suited to intermediate skiers, with long, confidence-building runs winding through forested terrain. For more advanced skiers, the efficient lift system makes it easy to access higher-altitude sectors for more challenging descents.
Snow conditions are reliable throughout the winter season thanks to the area’s high altitude and extensive snowmaking installations.
