Penthouse Aria is a 240m² apartment in a small chalet-style residence near the centre of Zermatt. From its elevated third floor location, the apartment has amazing views over Zermatt and towards the Matterhorn. Showcasing the latest in contemporary Swiss mountain architecture and design, the interiors feature natural materials such as wood and stone married with contemporary furniture and fittings.
Spanning the full width of the building, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area has high beamed ceilings, oak planked floors, and floor to ceiling windows which fill the space with light and offer magnificent vistas of the high mountain landscape to the south of Zermatt, with the iconic Matterhorn taking pride of place.
The lounge area at one end of the living space has comfortable sofas arranged round a low coffee table, from where you can take in the mountain views or watch something on the wall-mounted TV which has a cinema sound system. In the middle of the living space there is a fireplace with a stone-clad chimney breast, faced by a pair of leather-upholstered club armchairs.
At the other end of the space are the oak dining table seating up to eight people, and a sleek modern open kitchen with Pollinger units and granite worktops.
At either end of the living space, sliding doors open to the south-facing balcony. This extends over three sides of building and has an outdoor sofa, loungers, and chairs with sheepskin rugs.
Penthouse Aria has four bedrooms, all with super-king size double beds which can also be configured as twin single beds if desired. The master bedroom has access to the balcony at the side of the building. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bath and shower rooms with his and hers sinks, one has an en suite shower room, and one has a shower room and WC across the hallway.
On the ground floor of the building there is a fitness, relaxation and massage area shared between the five apartments in the block, as well as an outdoor hot tub which can be booked for private use if desired.
The building has an elevator serving all floors, and is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village. The Matterhorn Express lift station is five to seven minutes’ walk in the other direction, or two minutes on the ski bus which stops nearby.
