Chalet Riant is a three-story wood-clad chalet typical of the quieter semi-rural parts of Verbier that has been fully renovated to the highest standard. Situated in a peaceful location above the centre of the resort surrounded by meadows and mature pine trees, the chalet offers guests the highest level of comfort and modern equipment in a traditional alpine ambience.
At Ground level, one of the chalet’s three entrance opens into an open plan kitchen and dining area with sleek black worktops, sink and appliances, and wood-panelled concealed storage cupboards. An island unit with an underlit worktop separates the kitchen from the dining area which has a table seating six guests. French doors open from the dining area onto a paved terrace shaded by a balcony above, ideal for al fresco summer dining.
An open wooden staircase with a study corner underneath leads up to the living area, where an L-shaped corner sofa and two large armchairs are arranged around a low coffee table. Windows and French doors on two sides of the space afford views of the surrounding landscape, the resort and out over the valley to the high mountains beyond. The French doors onto a balcony and sun deck which wrap around the chalet on three sides. The main entrance to the rear of the chalet opens into the living space.
Two of the four bedrooms, a double room with balcony access and a children’ s quad bunk bedroom are on the same level as the living area. These rooms share a shower room on the floor below. The open staircase continues up to the top floor where the master bedroom, with a small private balcony, and a second double bedroom are located. Both bedrooms on this level have en-suite shower rooms with large walk-in showers.
From the living area, a few steps lead down to the ski room and a wood-panelled sauna. A further entrance door leads out to a stone-paved area to the side of the property at garden level with an outdoor hot tub. The chalet has outdoor parking for two vehicles.
The interiors of Chalet Riant feature floors, wall panelling and cabinetry in aged wood throughout, along with exposed roof beams and timbers. These are offset by furnishings and fabrics in muted tones and white-painted plasterwork. The bathrooms feature natural stone along with modern sanitary ware and brightwork. The overall effect is a comfortable, calm and inviting space with an air of understated contemporary luxury.
